Echo سایه1. The service
Echo (سایه) is an iPhone app for practising English pronunciation. It plays model audio, records your attempts, scores them automatically and tracks your progress. Features can change as we improve the app.
2. Your account
Echo creates an account for you automatically. If you choose a username, display name or avatar, they must not impersonate anyone or be offensive, hateful or misleading; we may change or remove names that break this rule. You're responsible for activity on your device and Apple ID.
3. Free plan and subscriptions
- The Free plan includes a daily allowance of lessons and may show ads, including optional rewarded ads for extra practice.
- Plus, Pro and Family are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless it's cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Any free trial or introductory offer, if available, ends when you buy a subscription or when the offer period ends.
- Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy and may change; we'll respect Apple's rules for notifying existing subscribers.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
4. Family plan
The Family plan is shared through Apple Family Sharing with up to 5 additional family members (6 people in total). Each member uses their own Apple ID and keeps their own progress. The family organizer is responsible for the subscription.
5. Gems, XP and other virtual items
Gems, XP, hearts, streak freezes and other in-app items have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for money and can't be transferred. We may adjust how they're earned or used to keep the app fair.
6. Leagues and community
Weekly leagues, friends lists and cheers are for friendly motivation. Don't manipulate scores, use automated tools or harass other learners. We may reset results or restrict features for accounts that do.
7. Scores are guidance, not certification
Pronunciation scores are produced automatically and are meant to guide your practice. They aren't an official assessment, and Echo doesn't guarantee any result in IELTS, TOEFL or any other exam.
8. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer the app, interfere with our servers, scrape our content, or use Echo for anything unlawful. Practice content (words, sentences, audio, lessons, illustrations and the Echo mascot) belongs to us or our licensors and is licensed to you for personal learning only.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep Echo running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Some features, such as per-sound scoring, leagues and content updates, need an internet connection.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Echo at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the privacy policy). We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Echo is provided "as is" and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
12. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Echo; contact us instead.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Questions: support@debugsy.com.
